Feel burnt out, well beyond tired and lacking time?

If you always seem to be fighting for more time, and feel well and truly worn out constantly then this is for you. Not being fully present in the moment, turning up as a partial version of yourself is quite normal these days, but by no means should be. It will cause your concentration, energy and passion for life to suffer and you will become a danger to others when doing things like driving. More people crash cars through tiredness than they do due to alcohol or drugs.

Technology is priming us to go faster and faster yet it is not really saving us time at all, its raising the expectations of what needs to be done in the little time we have during a day. Before long the 20 hour working day and car crashes on the hour due to tiredness will be the norm. Fortunately not everything your doing is beneficial for you or a good use of your time, we can simply increase the amount of time we have by removing the things we do that are not beneficial to us and improving our general effectiveness.

Unfortunately I cant advise you what to do or what not to do because I don’t know you or your situation but I can say with a degree of certainty that you know the things in your life that are not a good use of your time and by simply making a fully committed decision to cut these out of your life for at least 2 weeks, could be sufficient for you to see that they are unnecessary uses of your time stopping you from doing them for good.

We are being raised to believe that being busy at work means you are successful, but purely being busy at work most certainly does not mean your successful, because been really busy at work means you must sacrifice other areas of your life, like family, relationships, health and fitness, time to eat and time to sleep. I’m sure most would agree that the meaning of success is when you are doing well in all aspects of life. If your working like a donkey, wearing yourself down and killing your passion concentration and energy for work and life, realise you are increasing your chances of a car crash, hating work, feeling lazy, unmotivated, unenergised and working poorly when you do. When your fully refreshed, you think clearer and quicker meaning you will get more done in less time. Save yourself time by getting sufficient rest and removing things you do that you know offer you little benefit.

Spend your time doing your top priorities and remember that eating well and sleeping enough should always be included in these if long term health is important to you. Don’t go killing yourself in an effort to be solely successful at work. I hope you have found this blog post useful.

I help my clients to implement these changes to their busy lifestyles during my personal training programs.
